अध्याय २८६ — पराशर-उपदेशः
Ethical Restraint, Mortality, and Karma
अगाधाश्षाप्रतिष्ठाक्ष॒ गतिमन्तश्ष नारद । अन्धा जडाशक्ष जीवन्ति पश्यास्मानपि जीवत:
agādhāḥ apratiṣṭhāś ca gatimantaś ca nārada | andhā jaḍāś ca jīvanti paśyāsmān api jīvataḥ ||
«ໂອ ນາຣະດາ! ແມ່ນແຕ່ຜູ້ທີ່ຈົມຢູ່ໃນຄວາມສັບສົນອັນລຶກລ້ຳ ບໍ່ມີທີ່ຢືນຢັນໝັ້ນຄົງ ແຕ່ຖືກແຮງຜັກດັນໃຫ້ເຄື່ອນໄປຂ້າງໜ້າ—ເຖິງຈະຕາບອດ ແລະໂງ່ທຶບ—ກໍຍັງດຳລົງຊີວິດໃນໂລກນີ້ໄດ້. ເບິ່ງພວກເຮົາດ້ວຍ: ໃນທຳນອງດຽວກັນ ພວກເຮົາກໍກຳລັງມີຊີວິດຢູ່.»
