भीष्म उवाच एवमुकत्वा तु सा देवी तदा पशुपतिं पतिम् । तृष्णी भूताभवद् राजन् दहाुमानेन चेतसा,भीष्मजी कहते हैं--राजन्! अपने पति भगवान् पशुपतिसे ऐसा कहकर पार्वतीदेवी चुप हो गयीं, परंतु उनका हृदय शोकसे दग्ध हो रहा था
bhīṣma uvāca evam uktvā tu sā devī tadā paśupatiṁ patim | tṛṣṇī-bhūtābhavad rājan dahyamānena cetasā ||
ພີສະມະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ພຣະຣາຊາ, ເມື່ອນາງເທວີ (ປາຣະວະຕີ) ໄດ້ກ່າວດັ່ງນັ້ນແກ່ພຣະສາມີ ພຣະປະສຸປະຕິ ແລ້ວ, ນາງກໍຢຸດນິ່ງຢູ່ໃນຄວາມງຽບ. ແຕ່ໃນໃຈນາງ ຖືກເຜົາໄໝ້ດ້ວຍຄວາມໂສກເສົ້າ»។
