Karma–Vidyā Distinction: Paths of Bondage and Release
यथावत् कीर्तितं सम्यगेवमेतदसंशयम् । बोध्यं विद्यामयं दृष्टवा योगिभि: परमात्मभि:
yathāvat kīrtitaṃ samyagevam etad asaṃśayam | bodhyaṃ vidyāmayaṃ dṛṣṭvā yogibhiḥ paramātmabhiḥ ||
ວະຍາສະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ສິ່ງນີ້ໄດ້ຖືກພັນລະນາຢ່າງຖືກຕ້ອງ ຕາມຄວາມເປັນຈິງ—ດັ່ງນັ້ນມັນເປັນເຊັ່ນນັ້ນແທ້ ບໍ່ມີຄວາມສົງໄສ. ເມື່ອໄດ້ເຫັນໂດຍກົງຊຶ່ງສິ່ງທີ່ຄວນຮູ້—ຄວາມເປັນຈິງອັນປະກອບດ້ວຍປັນຍາ—ບັນດາໂຍຄີຜູ້ຕັ້ງມັ່ນໃນພຣະອາດຕະມາສູງສຸດ ໄດ້ກ່າວຖືກຕ້ອງຕາມຮູບແທ້ຂອງມັນ»។
व्यास उवाच
The verse affirms the reliability of the teaching about the Supreme Self: it is not speculative but reported ‘as it is’ by yogins who have directly realized the knowable Reality that is of the nature of knowledge itself.
Vyāsa, speaking within the Śānti Parva’s instruction on peace and liberation, validates a prior exposition: realized yogins (paramātma-niṣṭha) have seen the truth and therefore describe it accurately and without doubt.
