कल्याणं कुरुते बाढं पापमस्मिन्न विद्यते । न प्रीयते परानर्थस्तस्मात् सर्वत्र पूजित:
kalyāṇaṃ kurute bāḍhaṃ pāpam asmin na vidyate | na prīyate parānarthas tasmāt sarvatra pūjitaḥ ||
ທ່ານເຮັດການເພື່ອສະຫວັດດີພາບຂອງທຸກຄົນດ້ວຍໃຈທັງໝົດ; ໃນທ່ານບໍ່ມີເຄົາຂອງບາບແມ່ນແຕ່ນ້ອຍ. ທ່ານບໍ່ຍິນດີເມື່ອເຫັນຄວາມວິບັດຂອງຜູ້ອື່ນ; ດັ່ງນັ້ນ ທ່ານຈຶ່ງໄດ້ຮັບການນັບຖືທົ່ວທຸກແຫ່ງ.
वायुदेव उवाच
True virtue is shown by active benevolence and inner purity: one should work earnestly for others’ welfare, remain free from sinful intent, and never feel joy at another person’s suffering; such a person naturally earns respect everywhere.
Vāyudeva is describing the qualities of a commendable person: he consistently promotes universal welfare, is free from sin, and does not delight in others’ misfortune—explaining why such a person is honored in all places.
