दातार: संगृहीतार आर्या: करुणवेदिन: । महाप्रसादा ऋजवो दृढ्भक्ता जितेन्द्रिया:
śakra uvāca | dātāraḥ saṅgṛhītāra āryāḥ karuṇavedinaḥ | mahāprasādā ṛjavō dṛḍhabhaktā jitendriyāḥ ||
ສັກຣະກ່າວວ່າ: «ພວກເຂົາເປັນຜູ້ໃຫ້ທານ ແຕ່ກໍຮູ້ຈັກຮວບຮວມແລະຄຸ້ມຄອງຊັບສິນຢ່າງລະມັດລະວັງ. ພວກເຂົາດຳລົງຊີວິດຕາມຈາຣິດທີ່ສົມກັບຜູ້ສູງສົງ (ອາຣຍະ), ຮູ້ຄຸນຄ່າແຫ່ງຄວາມເມດຕາກະລຸນາ, ແລະມີນ້ຳໃຈໃຫຍ່ໃນການອະນຸເຄາະຜູ້ອື່ນ. ນິໄສຕົງໄປຕົງມາ, ໝັ້ນໃນພັກຕິ, ແລະຊະນະເຫນືອອິນຊີ—ພວກເຂົາຈຶ່ງເປັນແບບຢ່າງຂອງການໃຫ້ທານຢ່າງມີວິໄນ ແລະການຢັບຢັ້ງຕາມທຳ».
