भरद्वाज उवाच
Mental clarity (citta-prasāda) enables detachment from identification with ‘good’ and ‘bad’ actions as result-producing labels. Established in the Self, one experiences limitless bliss—suggesting liberation is grounded in inner purification and Self-abidance rather than in moral bookkeeping alone.
In Śānti Parva’s instruction on peace and liberation, Bharadvāja speaks as a teacher, describing the inner transformation of a seeker: the mind becomes serene, attachment to auspicious/inauspicious karma is relinquished, and the person rests in the Self, tasting infinite happiness.
