Vasiṣṭhāpavāha: Sarasvatī’s Diversion and Viśvāmitra’s Curse (वसिष्ठापवाहः)
जगाम धृतराष्ट्रस्य भवन ब्राह्मणोत्तम: । नरेश्वर! उन सब ऋषियोंसे ऐसा कहकर वे प्रतापी उत्तम ब्राह्मण राजा धृतराष्ट्रके घरपर गये
jagāma dhṛtarāṣṭrasya bhavanaṃ brāhmaṇottamaḥ | nareśvara! tān sarvān ṛṣīn evaṃ uktvā sa pratāpī uttamo brāhmaṇo rājā dhṛtarāṣṭrasya gṛhaṃ jagāma ||
ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ເມື່ອໄດ້ກ່າວດັ່ງນັ້ນແກ່ບັນດາລິສີທັງຫມົດແລ້ວ, ພຣະພຣາຫມັນຜູ້ສູງສຸດອັນມີກຽດສັກສີ ໄດ້ໄປຍັງພະລາຊວັງຂອງພຣະຣາຊາ ທຣິຕຣາສະຕຣະ.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical role of spiritual authority: after addressing the sages, the foremost Brāhmaṇa goes to the king, implying that wise counsel must reach those who govern, and that rulers should be approached with truth and guidance at decisive moments.
Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates a transition: a renowned Brāhmaṇa, having spoken to the assembled ṛṣis, departs and goes to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s residence, setting up the next interaction or message to be delivered to the king.
