Rudra’s Omitted Share in the Yajña (रुद्रभागानुपपत्तिः — यज्ञोपाख्यानम्)
सो5कल्प्यमाने भागे तु कृत्तिवासा मखेडमरै: । ततः साधनमन्विच्छन् धनुरादौ ससर्ज ह
so 'kalpyamāne bhāge tu kṛttivāsā makheḍamaraiḥ | tataḥ sādhanam anvicchan dhanur ādau sasarja ha ||
ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ເມື່ອກຳລັງຈັດສັນສ່ວນແບ່ງຢູ່ນັ້ນ ກຣິດຕິວາສາ (ສິວະ) ທ່າມກາງຄວາມອື້ອອຶງ ແລະຄວາມວຸ້ນວາຍໃນສະພາ ກໍສືບຫາວິທີການອັນມີປະສິດທິຜົນເພື່ອບັນລຸເປົ້າໝາຍຂອງຕົນ ແລະເປັນອັນດັບທຳອິດ ກໍບັນດານໃຫ້ເກີດ “ຄັນທະນູ” ຂຶ້ນ. ເຫດການນີ້ຊີ້ວ່າ ເມື່ອສ່ວນອັນຄວນໄດ້ ແລະລະບຽບຖືກໂຕ້ແຍ້ງ ຄວາມປາດຖະນາຈະບັນລຸເປົ້າໝາຍອາດຫັນໄປຫາເຄື່ອງມືແຫ່ງກຳລັງຢ່າງວ່ອງໄວ.

When disputes over rightful shares and order arise, the choice of 'sādhana' (means) becomes ethically decisive: turning first to weapons signals a slide from negotiation into coercion, highlighting the Mahābhārata’s recurring warning that ends pursued through violence reshape moral responsibility.
As an allotment or division is being arranged amid loud commotion, Kṛttivāsā looks for a way to accomplish his aim and begins by producing/readying a bow—an action that marks an escalation toward armed confrontation.
