अध्याय १ — न्यग्रोधवनोपवेशनम् तथा द्रौणिनिश्चयः
Night at the Banyan and Drauṇi’s Resolve
'पांचालयोद्धा हर्षमें भरकर सिंहनाद करते, हल्ला मचाते, हँसते, सैकड़ों शंख बजाते और डंके पीटते हैं ।।
vāditraghoṣas tumulo vimiśraḥ śaṅkhaniḥsvanaiḥ | anilenāritaḥ ghoro diśaḥ pūrayatīva ha ||
ສັນຊະຍະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ນັກຮົບປານຈາລາ ປິຕິຍິນດີ ຮ້ອງສຽງສິງຫນາດ ກໍ່ຄວາມອື້ອອຶງ ຫົວເຮາະ ເປົ່າສັງຂ໌ເປັນຮ້ອຍໆ ແລະຕີກອງ. ສຽງອື້ອອຶງອັນປະສົມປະສານ—ທັງສຽງດົນຕີນານາ ກັບສຽງສັງຂ໌—ລຶກ ແລະນ່າຢ້ານ ຖືກລົມພັດພາ ຮາວກັບເຕັມໄປທົ່ວທິດທາງທັງປວງ.
