Escalation of Wagers and Shakuni’s Repeated Declarations of Victory
स हास्तिनपुरं गत्वा धृतराष्ट्रगृहं ययौ । समियाय च धर्मात्मा धृतराष्ट्रेण पाण्डव:
sa hāstinapuraṃ gatvā dhṛtarāṣṭragṛhaṃ yayau | samiyāya ca dharmātmā dhṛtarāṣṭreṇa pāṇḍavaḥ ||
ພຣະອົງໄປຮອດຮາສຕິນາປຸຣະ ແລ້ວເຂົ້າໄປຍັງເຮືອນພະຣາຊວັງຂອງທຣິຕຣາສຖຣະ; ປານດະວະຜູ້ມີທັມມະນັ້ນ ໄດ້ພົບປະກັບທຣິຕຣາສຖຣະ. ບົດນີ້ຊີ້ໃຫ້ເຫັນການນອບນ້ອມຕາມເວລາຕໍ່ຄຳເຊີນຂອງຫຼວງ ແລະຈັນຍາບັນໃນການເຄົາລົບຜູ້ເຖົ້າແລະອຳນາດທີ່ປົກຄອງ ແມ່ນແຕ່ມີຄວາມຕຶງຕັນທາງການເມືອງຊ່ອນຢູ່ກໍຕາມ.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharma as disciplined, timely, and respectful conduct: answering a summons, approaching the elder king properly, and maintaining decorum in the royal court even when circumstances may be fraught.
Yudhiṣṭhira (the dharmātmā Pāṇḍava) arrives in Hāstinapura and goes to Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s residence, where he meets the king—setting the stage for subsequent court events in the Sabha Parva.
