वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic social conduct: a guest who has been properly honored takes leave with gratitude and courtesy, and a king is addressed with respectful titles—reinforcing mutual obligations of hospitality and civility.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Kṛṣṇa, having been honored, asks permission to depart. Yudhiṣṭhira, called Dharma-rāja, is then described as responding to Kṛṣṇa’s words, setting up the next exchange.
