वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse frames successful rule as both rare and ethically weighty: true sovereignty is praised when it results in the flourishing of the whole lineage/community, highlighting the king’s duty to sustain and uplift others (rājadharma).
The narrator Vaiśampāyana reports a congratulatory address to Yudhiṣṭhira (Kaunteya), praising him for attaining imperial power and for making all the Kurus prosper, emphasizing his role as the upholder of the Kuru line.
