वायव: क्रतवश्चैव संकल्प: प्राण एव च | मूर्तिमन्तो महात्मानो महाव्रतपरायणा:
vāyavaḥ kratavaś caiva saṅkalpaḥ prāṇa eva ca | mūrtimanto mahātmāno mahāvrataparāyaṇāḥ ||
ນາຣະດະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ມາຣຸດ (ລົມທັງຫຼາຍ), ພິທີບູຊາອັນສັກສິດ, ສັງກັນປະ (ຄວາມຕັ້ງໃຈແນ່ວແນ່), ແລະ ພຣານະ (ລົມຫາຍໃຈແຫ່ງຊີວິດ) ກໍດີ—ທັງໝົດນີ້ເປັນພະລັງອັນມີວິນຍານໃຫຍ່ ປາກົດໃນຮູບກາຍ ແລະ ອຸທິດຕົນໃນວຣະຕະອັນສູງສົ່ງ.»
नारद उवाच
The verse elevates inner resolve (saṅkalpa), life-breath (prāṇa), and ritual action (kratu) to the status of living, morally charged powers. It implies that dharmic life is sustained by disciplined vows and that both inner intention and outer rite participate in cosmic order.
Nārada is describing a class of exalted, vow-bound powers—winds (Maruts), rites, resolve, and vital breath—as if they are embodied great beings. The passage frames these forces as active participants in the world’s moral and ritual structure, not merely abstractions.
