अध्याय ९ — कर्णस्य प्रहारः, योधयुग्मनियोजनम्, शैनेय-कैकेययोर्युद्धविन्यासः
धिग्जीवितमिदं चैव सुहृद्धीनश्व॒ संजय । अद्य चाहं दशामेतां गत: संजय गर्हिताम्
dhig jīvitam idaṃ caiva suhṛd-hīnaśva sañjaya | adya cāhaṃ daśām etāṃ gataḥ sañjaya garhitām ||
ທ້າວ ທຣິຕຣາສະຕຣະ ຄຳນວນວ່າ: «ຂໍໃຫ້ຊີວິດນີ້ຂອງຂ້າຈົ່ງເປັນທີ່ດູໝິ່ນ, ໂອ ສັນຈະຍະ—ຂ້າບໍ່ຫຼືອມິດສະຫາຍຜູ້ຫວັງດີ ແລະຜູ້ພຶ່ງພາ. ມື້ນີ້ ຂ້າຕົກລົງສູ່ສະພາບອັນນ່າອັບອາຍນີ້ແລ້ວ, ໂອ ສັນຈະຍະ»។
