Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 96: Sātyaki’s Line-Penetration, Encirclement, and Advance toward Arjuna
ब्रह्मसूत्रेण बध्नामि कवचं तव भारत । हिरण्यगर्भेण यथा बद्धं विष्णो: पुरा रणे,'भारत! जैसे पूर्वकालमें रणक्षेत्रमें भगवान् ब्रह्माने श्रीविष्णुके शरीरमें कवच बाँधा था, उसी प्रकार मैं भी ब्रह्मसूत्रसे तुम्हारे इस कवचको बाँधता हूँ
sañjaya uvāca |
brahmasūtreṇa badhnāmi kavacaṃ tava bhārata |
hiraṇyagarbheṇa yathā baddhaṃ viṣṇoḥ purā raṇe ||
ສັນຊະຍະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ພາຣະຕະ, ຂ້າຜູກເກາະຂອງເຈົ້າດ້ວຍ ພຣະຫມະສູຕຣະ; ເຫມືອນໃນການຮົບບູຮານ ຮິຣັນຍະຄັຣພະ (ພຣະພຣະຫມາ) ເຄີຍຜູກເກາະໃຫ້ແກ່ ວິສນຸ»។
संजय उवाच
Protection and success in war are portrayed as depending not only on martial skill but also on sanctified order—invoking sacred means (brahma-sūtra) and divine precedent (Brahmā protecting Viṣṇu) to legitimate and strengthen human action.
Sañjaya describes the act of fastening the warrior’s armour using a consecrated ‘Brahma-sūtra,’ comparing it to an ancient mythic scene where Brahmā (Hiraṇyagarbha) bound armour on Viṣṇu before battle, thereby conferring ritual protection and confidence.
