The verse highlights how wrath can amplify destructive capability when joined with expertise and power. Ethically, it cautions that even disciplined warriors may become instruments of devastation when anger takes the reins, a recurring Mahābhārata reflection on the moral cost of war.
Sañjaya describes Droṇa launching an intense barrage of arrows at Dhṛṣṭadyumna, comparing Droṇa’s sudden, furious assault to Indra’s mythic onslaught against the Dānavas.
