Adhyāya 40 (Book 7, Droṇa-parva): Abhimanyu’s Rapid Advance and Battlefield Disruption
सौभद्रम भ्ययात् तूर्ण दृढमुद्यम्य कार्मुकम् । तत उच्चुक्रुशु: पार्थास्तिषां चानुचरा जना: । वादित्राणि च संजघ्नु: सौभद्रे चापि तुष्ठवु:,कर्णको संकटमें पड़ा देख उसका छोटा भाई सुदृढ़ धनुष हाथमें लेकर तुरंत ही सुभद्राकुमारका सामना करनेके लिये आ पहुँचा। उस समय कुन्तीके सभी पुत्र और उनके अनुगामी सैनिक जोर-जोरसे गरजने, बाजे बजाने और अभिमन्युकी भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा करने लगे
Saubhadram abhyayāt tūrṇaṁ dṛḍham udyamya kārmukam | tata uccukruśuḥ pārthās tiṣāṁ cānucarā janāḥ | vāditrāṇi ca saṁjaghnuḥ saubhadre cāpi tuṣṭuvuḥ ||
ສັນຊະຍະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ຍົກຄັນທະນູຂຶ້ນຢ່າງໝັ້ນຄົງ ເຂົາຮີບຮ້ອນພຸ່ງໄປເພື່ອປະຈັນໜ້າກັບ ສາວພັດຣະ (ອະພິມັນຍຸ)។ ແລ້ວບຸດທັງຫຼາຍຂອງ ປຣິຖາ (ປານດະວະ) ແລະທະຫານຜູ້ຕິດຕາມ ຮ້ອງໂຮດດັງໆ ຕີດົນຕີສົງຄາມ ແລະດ້ວຍຄວາມຍິນດີ ພາກັນສັນລະເສີນ ສາວພັດຣະ—ຢືນຢັນຄວາມກ້າຫານ ແລະຄວາມສັດຊື່ ທ່າມກາງສົງຄາມອັນເຂັ້ມງວດ।
