The verse highlights disciplined organization in warfare: power is made effective through ordered deployment under responsible command. Ethically, it underscores the kṣatriya context where strategy and command are exercised within the grim obligations of battle.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Droṇa has arranged a vyūha (battle-array), deploying the four main arms—infantry, cavalry, chariots, and elephants—signaling the commencement of a planned and coordinated engagement.
