Duryodhana’s Incursion and the Tumult of Battle
भ्रातुरन्वेषणं कृत्वा धर्मपुत्रो युधिष्ठिर:
bhrātur anveṣaṇaṁ kṛtvā dharmaputro yudhiṣṭhiraḥ

संजय उवाच
Even in a battlefield setting, dharma expresses itself through steadfast responsibility—especially toward one’s family and dependents. Yudhiṣṭhira’s epithet ‘Dharmaputra’ frames his actions as guided by moral duty rather than impulse.
Sañjaya reports that Yudhiṣṭhira has engaged in searching for his brother. The verse is a brief narrative hinge, indicating a purposeful movement or decision following that search.
