Sātyaki-praveśaḥ and Duryodhana-saṃnipātaḥ
Sātyaki’s passage and Duryodhana’s mass engagement

The verse underscores the grave ethical weight of deploying divine weapons: their presence alone generates universal fear and disrupts the natural order, implying that such power should be restrained and used only with utmost responsibility.
Sanjaya describes an ominous moment on the battlefield when two combatants are seen armed with divine missiles; the atmosphere becomes so terrifying that even sky-moving beings cease to traverse the air, and a loud outcry spreads among those present.
