Educational Q&A

When society moves toward adharma and mass violence, nature and the heavens are portrayed as reflecting that disorder through ominous signs; the ethical warning is to recognize the gravity of impending harm and the collapse of righteous order.

Vyāsa reports ominous portents to a king: across the three divisions of nakṣatra-groups, a vulture striking the ‘foremost’ point is described as producing extreme fear—signaling an inauspicious time and the approach of devastating war.
