Karma-yoga is a safe and cumulative discipline: sincere effort is never wasted, it does not produce a harmful ‘reverse’ result, and even limited practice powerfully protects the practitioner from profound existential fear by grounding life in dharma.
On the battlefield setting of Bhishma Parva, the teaching turns to the practical path of karma-yoga. The speaker emphasizes its reliability and moral security, encouraging the listener that even a small start in this discipline yields lasting protection and is never futile.
