तस्य ते निशितान् बाणान् संनिवार्य महारथा:
sañjaya uvāca | tasya te niśitān bāṇān saṁnivārya mahārathāḥ | atāḍayan raṇe bhīṣmaṁ sahitāḥ sarvasṛñjayāḥ ||
ສັນຊະຍະກ່າວວ່າ: ເມື່ອໄດ້ກັ້ນຂວາງລູກສອນຄົມຂອງລາວແລ້ວ ນັກຮົບລົດສົງຄາມຜູ້ຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່—ສຣິນຈະຍະທັງປວງຮ່ວມເປັນໜຶ່ງ—ໄດ້ຮຸກໂຈມ ພີສະມະ ໃນສົງຄາມ ຈາກທຸກດ້ານ. ໃນຄວາມເດືອດດານທີ່ປະສານກັນ ພວກເຂົາຫວັງຈະຖົມທັບຜູ້ເຖົ້າດ້ວຍພາຍຸອາວຸດ ແລະ ກົດດັນລາວຢ່າງບໍ່ຢຸດຢັ້ງ ທ່າມກາງສຽງອື້ອອຶງຂອງສົງຄາມ.
