सा वध्यमाना समरे पाण्डुसेना महात्मभि: | भ्राम्यते बहुधा राजन् मारुतेनेव नौर्जले,राजन! जैसे वायुके थपेड़े खाकर नौका जलमें चक्कर काटने लगती है, उसी प्रकार उन महामनस्वी वीरोंद्वारा समरांगणमें मारी जाती हुई पाण्डवसेना बहुधा इधर-उधर भटक रही थी
sā vadhyamānā samare pāṇḍusenā mahātmabhiḥ | bhrāmyate bahudhā rājan māruten eva naur jale ||
