Muñjavān on Himavat: Maheśvara’s abode, Śiva-stuti, and sacrificial gold
Chapter 8
(लभन्ते गाणपत्यं च तदेकाग्रा हि मानवा: | कि पुनः: स्वर्णभाण्डानि तस्मात् त्वं गच्छ मा चिरम् ।।
Saṃvarta uvāca | labhante gāṇapatyaṃ ca tad-ekāgrā hi mānavāḥ | ki punaḥ svarṇa-bhāṇḍāni tasmāt tvaṃ gaccha mā ciram || mad-uttaraṃ hi te lābha hasty-aśvoṣṭādibhiḥ saha | suvarṇam āhariṣyantas tatra gacchantu te narāḥ | ity uktaḥ sa vacas tena cakre kārandham-ātmajaḥ Maruttaḥ ||
ສຳວັດຕະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ມະນຸດຜູ້ຕັ້ງໃຈເອກະຈິດດ້ວຍພັກຕິຕໍ່ ພຣະສັງກະຣະ (Śaṅkara) ຍັງສາມາດໄດ້ຮັບສະຖານະແຫ່ງຄະນະປະຕິ (Gaṇapati) ໄດ້; ແລ້ວການໄດ້ພາຊະນະຄຳຈະເປັນເລື່ອງໃຫຍ່ອັນໃດ? ດັ່ງນັ້ນ ໄປທີ່ນັ້ນໃນທັນທີ—ຢ່າຊັກຊ້າ. ທີ່ນັ້ນເຈົ້າຈະໄດ້ກຳໄລອັນໃຫຍ່ ພ້ອມຊ້າງ ມ້າ ອູດ ແລະອື່ນໆ. ໃຫ້ຄົນຂອງເຈົ້າໄປນຳຄຳກັບຄືນ»។ ເມື່ອໄດ້ຍິນຄຳນັ້ນ ມະຣຸດຕະ ຜູ້ເປັນທາຍາດຂອງ ກະຣັນດະຫະມະ ກໍໄດ້ປະຕິບັດຕາມ។
संवर्त उवाच
Single-minded devotion to Śiva is presented as so potent that it can confer exalted spiritual status (gāṇapatya); therefore, worldly gains like gold and wealth are portrayed as comparatively easy and secondary. The verse frames material prosperity as an incidental outcome when higher devotion and resolve are present.
Saṃvarta urges Marutta to act quickly and send his men to fetch gold, assuring him of abundant gains including valuable livestock. Marutta, described as a descendant of Karaṇdhama, follows Saṃvarta’s instruction.
