वैशम्पायन उवाच तमुवाच प्रसन्नात्मा गोविन्दो जनमेजय । वरं वृणीष्वेति तदा तमुत्तड़को<ब्रवीदिदम्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: tam uvāca prasannātmā Govindo Janamejaya | varaṃ vṛṇīṣveti tadā tam Uttanko 'bravīd idam ||
ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ໂອ ຈະນະເມຊະຍະ, ໃນເວລານັ້ນ ພຣະໂກວິນດະ—ຜູ້ມີຈິດໃສສະຫງົບເສມອ—ໄດ້ກ່າວກັບລາວວ່າ: “ຈົ່ງເລືອກພອນໜຶ່ງ.” ແລ້ວ Uttanka ຈຶ່ງຕອບກັບດັ່ງນີ້.
