The Allegory of Non-Greed: Śunaḥsakha and the Yātudhānī
अंगिराश्ष क्रतुश्चैव कश्यपश्च महानृषि: । एते कुरुकुलश्रेष्ठ महायोगेश्व॒रा: स्मृता:
aṅgirāḥ kratuś caiva kaśyapaś ca mahānṛṣiḥ | ete kurukulaśreṣṭha mahāyogeśvarāḥ smṛtāḥ ||
ພີສະມະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ອັງຄິຣາສ, ກຣະຕຸ, ແລະ ມະຫາຣິຊິ ກັສຍະປະ—ບຸກຄົນເຫຼົ່ານີ້, ໂອ ຜູ້ປະເສີດໃນວົງກຸຣຸ, ຖືກຈື່ຈຳວ່າເປັນ “ມະຫາໂຍເຄສະວະຣະ” ຜູ້ຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່ໃນໂຍຄະ»។
भीष्म उवाच
Bhīṣma highlights that the highest exemplars are those recognized for yogic mastery and realized wisdom; ethical authority is grounded in inner discipline and spiritual attainment as preserved by tradition.
In his instruction to the Kuru heir, Bhīṣma lists renowned sages—Aṅgiras, Kratu, and Kaśyapa—affirming them as ‘great lords of yoga’ to support his broader discourse on dharma and exemplary conduct.
