Bhūmi-dānasya Māhātmya
The Pre-eminence of Land-Gift
युधिष्ठिरने कहा--कुरुकुलपुंगव! भरतश्रेष्ठ! बगीचे लगाने और जलाशय बनवानेका जो फल होता है, उसीको अब मैं आपके मुखसे सुनना चाहता हूँ ।।
bhīṣma uvāca | supradarśā balavatī citrā dhātuvibhūṣitā | upetā sarvabhūtaiś ca śreṣṭhā bhūmir ihocyate ||
ຍຸທິສຖິຣ ກ່າວວ່າ: “ໂອ ຍອດແຫ່ງວົງກຸຣຸ, ໂອ ຜູ້ປະເສີດໃນຫມູ່ພາຣະຕະ! ບັດນີ້ ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າປາຖະໜາຈະໄດ້ຟັງຈາກພຣະໂອດຂອງທ່ານ ເຖິງຜົນບຸນຂອງການປູກສວນແລະການສ້າງອ່າງນໍ້າ.” ພີສະມະ ກ່າວວ່າ: “ໂອ ພຣະຣາຊາ! ດິນແດນທີ່ເອີ້ນວ່າດີທີ່ສຸດໃນນີ້ ແມ່ນດິນແດນທີ່ເບິ່ງງາມ, ແຂງແຮງແລະອຸດົມສົມບູນ, ມີຄວາມຫຼາກຫຼາຍແລະປະດັບດ້ວຍແຮ່ທາດຫຼາຍຊະນິດ, ແລະເປັນທີ່ຢູ່ອາໄສຂອງສັດມີຊີວິດທຸກປະເພດ.”
