निष्पत्रमफलं शुष्कमशरण्यं पतत्रिणाम्‌ | किमर्थ सेवसे वृक्ष यदा महदिदं वनम्‌

Transliteration

niṣpatram aphalaṃ śuṣkam aśaraṇyaṃ patatriṇām | kimarthaṃ sevase vṛkṣa yadā mahad idaṃ vanam ||

Translation

ພີສະມະກ່າວວ່າ: «ສຸກະເອີຍ, ຕົ້ນໄມ້ນີ້ບໍ່ມີໃບ ບໍ່ມີໝາກ ແລະແຫ້ງກອບ; ມັນບໍ່ເປັນທີ່ພັກພິງໃຫ້ນົກໄດ້ອີກ. ເມື່ອປ່າໃຫຍ່ນີ້ຢູ່ຮອບດ້ານ, ເຈົ້າຈຶ່ງໄປພຶງພາຕົ້ນໄມ້ທີ່ເຫຼືອແຕ່ຕໍ້ນີ້ເພາະຫຍັງ?»
