अब्रवीदितरां कन्यामावहेति स कौरव: । अप्यन्याननुपप्रच्छ शड्कमान: पितुर्वच:
abravīd itarāṁ kanyām āvaheti sa kauravaḥ | apy anyān anupapraccha śaṅkamānaḥ pitur vacaḥ ||
ພີສະມະກ່າວວ່າ: «ຜູ້ເຖົ້າກະວະນັ້ນໄດ້ກ່າວວ່າ ‘ຈົ່ງແຕ່ງງານກັບນາງອື່ນ.’ ແຕ່ເນື່ອງຈາກຂ້າຍັງສົງໄສໃນຄວາມຖືກຕ້ອງຂອງຄຳສັ່ງຂອງຜູ້ເຖົ້າ (ຜູ້ເປັນຫົວໜ້າ) ຂ້າຈຶ່ງໄດ້ຖາມຜູ້ອື່ນໆ ອີກດ້ວຍ»។
