Aṣṭāvakra’s Visit to Kubera: Hospitality, Temptation, and the Ethics of Restraint (अष्टावक्र-वैश्रवणोपाख्यानम्)
गर्ग उवाच चतुःषष्ट्यड्रमददत् कलाज्ञानं ममाद्भुतम् | सरस्वत्यास्तटे तुष्टो मनोयज्ञेन पाण्डव
garga uvāca catuḥṣaṣṭy-aḍramadadat kalājñānaṃ mamādbhutam | sarasvatyās taṭe tuṣṭo manoyajñena pāṇḍava ||
ກາກະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ປານດະວະ, ຢູ່ຝັ່ງແມ່ນ້ຳສະຣັສວະຕີ ຂ້າໄດ້ປະກອບຍັດຍະດ້ວຍໃຈ (ມະໂນຍັດຍະ) ແລະໄດ້ເຮັດໃຫ້ພຣະສິວະພໍພຣະໄທ. ເມື່ອພຣະອົງຊົມຊື່ນ ຈຶ່ງປະທານຄວາມຮູ້ອັນອັດສະຈັນແຫ່ງສິລະປະຫົກສິບສີ່ແກ່ຂ້າ».
गर्ग उवाच
Inner worship (mānasa-yajña) and sincere devotion can be as spiritually efficacious as external ritual, leading to the bestowal of knowledge and divine favor.
Garga recounts to a Pāṇḍava that he performed a mental sacrifice on the Sarasvatī’s bank, pleased Śiva, and received from him extraordinary knowledge of the sixty-four arts as a boon.
