Gṛhastha-Vrata
इत्युक्ता तेन विप्रेण राजपुत्री यशस्विनी । विधिना प्रतिजग्राह वेदोक्तेन विशाम्पते,प्रजानाथ! उस ब्राह्मणके ऐसा कहनेपर यशस्विनी राजकुमारी ओघवतीने वेदोक्त विधिसे उसका पूजन किया
ity uktā tena vipreṇa rājaputrī yaśasvinī | vidhinā pratijagrāha vedoktena viśāmpate prajānātha |
ພີສະມະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ເມື່ອຖືກກ່າວໂດຍພຣາຫມະນະນັ້ນ ໂອຄະວະຕີ ທິດາພຣະຣາຊາຜູ້ມີກຽດສັກສີ ໄດ້ຮັບເຂົາໄວ້ຕາມພິທີອັນຖືກຕ້ອງ; ໂອ ຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າແຫ່ງປະຊາ, ນາງໄດ້ບູຊາແລະເຄົາລົບເຂົາຕາມວິທີທີ່ວິເທດາກຳນົດໄວ້।
भीष्म उवाच
That dharma includes receiving and honoring a worthy guest—especially a learned brahmin—through proper, Veda-sanctioned conduct, emphasizing respect, restraint, and ritual correctness.
After the brahmin speaks to her, the renowned princess (identified in the gloss as Oghavatī) formally receives him and performs his honoring/worship according to Vedic procedure, while Bhishma narrates this to the king addressed as ‘lord of the people’.
