Anuśāsana-parva 17
लोकपालोडन््तर्तितात्मा प्रसादो हयगर्दभि: । पवित्र च महांश्नैव नियमो नियमाश्रित:
lokapālo ’ntarhitātmā prasādo hayagardabhiḥ | pavitraṃ ca mahāṃś caiva niyamo niyamāśritaḥ ||
ພະວາຍຸເທວະກ່າວວ່າ: «ພຣະອົງແມ່ນຜູ້ປົກປ້ອງໂລກທັງປວງ ເຄື່ອນໄຫວໃນຮູບອັນລີບລັບມອງບໍ່ເຫັນ ເຕັມໄປດ້ວຍຄວາມເມດຕາອ່ອນໂຍນແລະຄວາມສະຫງົບ. ພຣະອົງປະທັບລົດທີ່ຜູກດ້ວຍມ້າແລະລາ. ພຣະອົງບໍລິສຸດ ແລະນ່າບູຊາຢ່າງຍິ່ງ; ຜູ້ຄົນຈະເຂົ້າເຖິງໄດ້ໂດຍການຮັກສາວິໄນເຊັ່ນ ຄວາມສະອາດ ແລະຄວາມພໍໃຈ ແລະພຣະອົງເອງແມ່ນທີ່ພຶ່ງພາ ແລະທີ່ອາໄສຂອງວິໄນເຫຼົ່ານັ້ນ».
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse praises a divine guardian as inherently pure and gracious, and emphasizes that such a being is approached through niyama—ethical and spiritual disciplines like cleanliness and contentment—while also being the sustaining foundation of those very disciplines.
Vāyu is describing the qualities and signs of a revered, world-protecting divine figure: unseen in essence yet active, serene and gracious, associated with a chariot-team, and characterized by purity and greatness, with access to him framed through disciplined observance.
