स्वदेशे परदेशे वाप्यतिथिं नोपवासयेत् । कर्म वै सफल कृत्वा गुरूणां प्रतिपादयेत्
Bhīṣma uvāca | svadeśe paradeśe vāpy atithiṁ nopavāsayet | karma vai saphalaṁ kṛtvā gurūṇāṁ pratipādayet ||
ພີດສະມະກ່າວວ່າ: ຢູ່ໃນແຜ່ນດິນຂອງຕົນ ຫຼື ໃນແຜ່ນດິນຄົນອື່ນ ຢ່າໃຫ້ແຂກຄົນໃດຢູ່ຢ່າງຫິວໂຫຍ. ແລະວຽກໃດທີ່ຜູ້ເຖົ້າຜູ້ແກ່ ຫຼື ຄູອາຈານໄດ້ສັ່ງໄວ້ ຄວນເຮັດໃຫ້ສໍາເລັດດີ ແລ້ວຈຶ່ງກາບທູນກັບໄປຫາພວກເຂົາ.
