अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
अयं च सर्वभूतानां शुभाशुभगतिप्रद: । अयं च जन्ममरणे विदध्यात् सर्वजन्तुषु,ये ही समस्त प्राणियोंको शुभ और अशुभ गति प्रदान करनेवाले हैं। ये ही समस्त प्राणियोंको जन्म और मृत्यु प्रदान करते हैं
ayaṃ ca sarvabhūtānāṃ śubhāśubhagatipradaḥ | ayaṃ ca janmamaraṇe vidadhyāt sarvajantuṣu ||
ພະວາຍຸກ່າວວ່າ: “ພຣະອົງແມ່ນຜູ້ປະທານແກ່ສັດທັງປວງ ທັງເສັ້ນທາງອັນມົງຄຸນ ແລະເສັ້ນທາງອັນອັບມົງຄຸນ. ພຣະອົງຍັງເປັນຜູ້ກໍານົດໃຫ້ແກ່ສັດທຸກຊະນິດ ການເກີດ ແລະຄວາມຫຼີກບໍ່ພົ້ນຂອງຄວາມຕາຍ.”
