ते पूज्यास्ते नमस्कार्या वर्तेथास्तेषु पुत्रवत् । ते हि लोकानिमान् सर्वान् धारयन्ति मनीषिण:
te pūjyās te namaskāryā varte thās teṣu putravat | te hi lokān imān sarvān dhārayanti manīṣiṇaḥ ||
ພີສະມະກ່າວວ່າ: “ພວກເຂົາເປັນຜູ້ຄວນແກ່ການເຄົາລົບ ແລະ ຄວນແກ່ການນົບນ້ອມ. ຈົ່ງປະພຶດຕໍ່ພວກເຂົາເຫມືອນບຸດຜູ້ດີປະພຶດຕໍ່ບິດາ. ເພາະພຣາຫມະນະຜູ້ມີປັນຍາເຫຼົ່ານັ້ນ ເປັນຜູ້ຄໍ້າຈຸນ ແລະ ທຳນຸບຳລຸງໂລກທັງປວງນີ້.”
भीष्म उवाच
One should honor and salute Brāhmaṇas and relate to them with filial respect, because the wise—through learning, counsel, and preservation of dharma—are portrayed as sustaining the moral and cosmic order of the worlds.
In the Anuśāsana Parva, Bhīṣma continues his post-war instruction on dharma, giving prescriptive guidance on proper social and ethical conduct; here he emphasizes reverence toward Brāhmaṇas as a foundational duty.
