Adhyāya 152 — Bhīṣma’s Authorization for Yudhiṣṭhira’s Return to the Capital (नगरप्रवेशानुज्ञा)

ब्राह्मणान्‌ दुर्बलानाथान्‌ दीनान्धकृपणांस्तथा । बिभर्त्यन्नेन या नारी सा पतिव्रतभागिनी

brāhmaṇān durbalānāthān dīnāndhakṛpaṇāṁs tathā | bibharty annena yā nārī sā pativratabhāginī ||

ພຣະມະເຫສະວະຣະກ່າວວ່າ: ນາງໃດທີ່ຫຼ້ຽງດູດ້ວຍອາຫານແກ່ພຣາຫມັນ, ຜູ້ອ່ອນແອ, ຜູ້ບໍ່ມີທີ່ພຶ່ງ, ຜູ້ທຸກຍາກ, ຄົນຕາບອດ ແລະ ຜູ້ຂັດສົນ—ນາງນັ້ນແມ່ນຜູ້ແບ່ງປັນບຸນກຸສົນແຫ່ງ «ປະຕິວຣະຕາ-ທັມມະ» ຢ່າງແທ້ຈິງ. ຄວາມສັດຊື່ຂອງນາງບໍ່ແມ່ນຢູ່ແຕ່ໃນຄວາມປະພຶດສ່ວນຕົວ, ແຕ່ປາກົດໃນໜ້າທີ່ແຫ່ງເຮືອນຊານອັນເມດຕາ, ເມື່ອການໃຫ້ອາຫານແກ່ຜູ້ອ່ອນໄຫວກາຍເປັນການກະທຳທາງທັມມະ ແລະ ໃຫ້ຜົນແຫ່ງຄຸນທຳຂອງພັນລະຍາ.
