Śatarudrīya-prabhāva and Rudra’s Supremacy (शतरुद्रीयप्रभावः)
एतनमे संशयं सर्व वक्तुमर्हसि वै प्रभो । सधर्मचारिणी चाहं भक्ता चेति वृषध्वज,प्रभो! वृषध्वज! मेरे इस सारे संशयका समाधान कीजिये; क्योंकि मैं आपकी सहधर्मिणी और भक्त हूँ
etan me saṁśayaṁ sarvaṁ vaktum arhasi vai prabho | sadharmacāriṇī cāhaṁ bhaktā ceti vṛṣadhvaja ||
ໂອ້ ພຣະເຈົ້າ, ພຣະອົງສາມາດແກ້ໄຂຄວາມສົງໄສທັງໝົດນີ້ຂອງຂ້າພະອົງໄດ້. ເພາະຂ້າພະອົງເປັນສະຫະທັມມະຈາຣິນີ—ຄູ່ຮ່ວມທາງໃນທັມມະ—ແລະເປັນຜູ້ສັດທາບູຊາພຣະອົງດ້ວຍ, ໂອ້ ວຶສະທະວະຈະ (ຜູ້ຖືທຸງຮູບງົວ).
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
The verse frames ethical inquiry as legitimate and even necessary within dharma: a devotee and dharmic partner may openly present doubts and request authoritative clarification. It highlights that devotion (bhakti) and shared duty (sadharmacāriṇī-bhāva) provide a rightful basis for seeking guidance from the divine teacher.
In a dialogic setting, the speaker (implicitly the divine consort) appeals to Maheśvara/Śiva—addressed as ‘Prabho’ and ‘Vṛṣadhvaja’—to explain and remove her complete doubt. She strengthens the request by stating her relationship: she is both his sadharmacāriṇī (partner in dharma) and his bhaktā (devotee).
