भीष्म उवाच एवमेतन्महाबाहो यथा वदसि भारत | विवर्जिते तु बहवो गुणा: कौरवनन्दन । ये भवन्ति मनुष्याणां तान् मे निगदतः शृणु
bhīṣma uvāca evam etan mahābāho yathā vadasi bhārata | vivarjite tu bahavo guṇāḥ kauravanandana | ye bhavanti manuṣyāṇāṃ tān me nigadataḥ śṛṇu ||
ພີສະມະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ຜູ້ມີແຂນແຂງກ້າ, ລູກຫຼານແຫ່ງພະຣະຕະ, ດັ່ງທີ່ເຈົ້າກ່າວນັ້ນ ແມ່ນຖືກຕ້ອງແທ້. ໂອ ຜູ້ເປັນທີ່ຊື່ນຊົມຂອງວົງກຸຣຸ, ເມື່ອງົດເນື້ອ ຄຸນຄ່າແລະຜົນດີຫຼາຍປະການຈະເກີດຂຶ້ນ ເຊິ່ງມະນຸດສາມາດເຂົ້າເຖິງໄດ້. ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າຈະກ່າວ—ຈົ່ງຟັງ.»
