Bhaṅgāśvanopākhyāna — On comparative affection in strī–puruṣa union (भङ्गाश्वनोपाख्यानम्)
चिन्तयामास देदवेन्द्रो मन्युनाथ परिप्लुत: । उपकारोअस्य राजर्षे: कृतो नापकृतं मया
cintayāmāsa devendro manyunātha pariplutaḥ | upakāro ’sya rājarṣeḥ kṛto nāpakṛtaṃ mayā ||
ພີດສະມະກ່າວວ່າ: «ດ້ວຍໂທສະທີ່ຖ້ວມທົ່ວ ແລະຖືກຄວາມໂກດນຳພາ ທ່ານເທວະເອນທຣະ (ອິນທຣະ) ໄດ້ຄິດວ່າ: ‘ເຮົາໄດ້ເຮັດແຕ່ຄຸນໃຫ້ແກ່ຣາຊະຣິສີນີ້; ບໍ່ໄດ້ເຮັດຮ້າຍເຂົາເລີຍ’»។ ຄວາມຄິດນີ້ເປັນການອ້າງຄວາມຊອບທຳໃຫ້ຕົນເອງ—ອິນທຣະຈັດວາງການກະທຳຂອງຕົນເປັນ “ການຊ່ວຍ” ບໍ່ແມ່ນ “ການເຮັດຮ້າຍ” ແມ່ນແຕ່ຄວາມຂຸ່ນເຄືອງກໍກຳລັງເພີ່ມຂຶ້ນເມື່ອເຫັນຜູ້ອື່ນຮຸ່ງເຮືອງຮ່ວມກັນ.
