भीष्म उवाच
Bhishma teaches disciplined conduct at twilight (godhūlikā-velā): avoid eating, sleeping, and even study at that liminal time; such restraint is presented as supportive of health and long life.
In Anushasana Parva, Bhishma instructs the king on dharma and proper conduct (ācāra). Here he gives a practical rule of daily regimen, linking twilight discipline with the ethical ideal of self-control and the promised fruit of longevity.
