(दाक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठके २ श्लोक मिलाकर कुल २१ श्लोक हैं) त्रिनवतितमो<ध्याय: राजा ययातिका वसुमान् और शिबिके प्रतिग्रहको अस्वीकार करना तथा अष्टक आदि चारों राजाओंके साथ स्वर्गमें जाना वसुमानुवाच पृच्छामि त्वां वसुमानौषदद्रि- यद्यस्ति लोको दिवि मे नरेन्द्र | यद्यन्तरिक्षे प्रथितो महात्मन् क्षेत्रज्ञ त्वां तस्य धर्मस्य मन्ये
vasumān uvāca | pṛcchāmi tvāṁ vasumān auṣadadrir yady asti loko divi me narendra | yady antarīkṣe prathito mahātman kṣetrajña tvāṁ tasya dharmasya manye ||
ວະສຸມານ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ພຣະຣາຊາ, ຂ້າຂໍຖາມພຣະອົງ—ຂ້າແມ່ນ ວະສຸມານ ບຸດຂອງ Auṣadadri. ຖ້າໃນສະຫວັນ ຫຼືໃນອັນຕະຣິກສະ (ພາກກາງ) ມີໂລກອັນລືຊື່ສຳລັບຂ້າ ຂໍພຣະອົງຈົ່ງບອກ. ໂອ ຜູ້ມີຈິດໃຫຍ່, ຂ້ານັບຖືພຣະອົງວ່າເປັນຜູ້ຮູ້ທຳມະແຫ່ງໂລກຫຼັງ, ເປັນ ‘kṣetrajña’ ຜູ້ຮູ້ແຫ່ງທຳມະນັ້ນ».
