Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta (गरुड–शक्र संवादः अमृत-अपहरण-प्रसङ्गः)
युष्मान् सम्बोधयाम्येष यथा न स हरेद् बलात् | अतुल हि बल॑ तस्य बृहस्पतिरुवाच ह
yuṣmān sambodhayāmyeṣa yathā na sa hared balāt | atulaṃ hi balaṃ tasya bṛhaspatir uvāca ha ||
ກາສະຍະປະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າເຕືອນພວກເຈົ້າໄວ້ກ່ອນ ເພື່ອບໍ່ໃຫ້ເຂົາຊິຊິງເອົາອະມຣິຕະໄປດ້ວຍກຳລັງ. ເພາະກຳລັງຂອງເຂົານັ້ນຫາສິ່ງໃດທຽບບໍ່ໄດ້—ດັ່ງທີ່ພຣະບຣິຫັດສະປະຕິໄດ້ປະກາດ»។
कश्यप उवाच
The verse teaches prudent vigilance: when a rival’s power is known to be overwhelming, one must warn allies and prepare collectively to prevent unjust seizure of a valued and entrusted object (here, amṛta).
Kaśyapa addresses a group (implicitly the gods or stakeholders in the amṛta episode), cautioning them that a powerful figure may seize the amṛta by force; he supports the warning by citing Bṛhaspati’s assessment that the opponent’s strength is incomparable.
