वैशम्पायन उवाच तमब्रवीत् त्वयादुष्ठो दक्षिणो दीयतामिति,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! तब द्रोणाचार्यने उससे कहा--“तुम मुझे दाहिने हाथका आँगूठा दे दो”
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: tam abravīt—tvayā duṣṭho dakṣiṇo dīyatām iti.
ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ແລ້ວ ທ່ານໄດ້ກ່າວກັບເຂົາວ່າ: “ເຈົ້າຈົ່ງມອບ ຫົວແມ່ມືຂວາ ໃຫ້ຂ້າ ເປັນຄ່າຄູ.” ໃນຄວາມຕຶງຕັນທາງທຳຂອງເນື້ອເລື່ອງ ຄຳຮ້ອງຂໍນີ້ເປັນ ‘ຄ່າຄູ’ ອັນໂຫດຮ້າຍ ທີ່ທົດສອບການນອບນ້ອມ ແລະ ເປີດເຜີຍວ່າອຳນາດອາດຖືກນຳໃຊ້ເພື່ອຈຳກັດພອນສະຫວັນຂອງຜູ້ຢູ່ນອກວົງໄດ້ແນວໃດ.
