यशसा तेजसा चैव वृत्तेन च समन्वित: । “यह श्रेष्ठ पुरुष धर्मात्माओंमें अग्रगण्य होगा और इस पृथ्वीपर पराक्रमी एवं सत्यवादी राजा होगा। पाण्डुका यह प्रथम पुत्र 'युधिष्ठिर' नामसे विख्यात हो तीनों लोकोंमें प्रसिद्धि एवं ख्याति प्राप्त करेगा; यह यशस्वी

yaśasā tejasā caiva vṛttena ca samanvitaḥ |

ໄວສັມປາຍະນະກ່າວວ່າ: “ຜູ້ນັ້ນຈະພ້ອມດ້ວຍຊື່ສຽງ ແລະລັດສະໝີ ພ້ອມທັງຄວາມປະພຶດທີ່ຊອບທຳ; ຈະເປັນຜູ້ເດັ່ນທີ່ສຸດໃນຫມູ່ຜູ້ຖືທຳມະ. ໃນແຜ່ນດິນນີ້ ຈະເປັນກະສັດກ້າຫານ ແລະເວົ້າຄວາມຈິງ. ເປັນບຸດຄົນທຳອິດຂອງປານດຸ ມີນາມວ່າ ຢຸດທິສະຖິຣ ຈະໄດ້ຮັບຊື່ສຽງກວ້າງໄກໃນສາມໂລກ—ໂດດເດັ່ນດ້ວຍກຽດສັກສີ ລັດສະໝີ ແລະຄຸນທຳອັນໝັ້ນຄົງ.”
