गान्धारीपुत्रोत्पत्तिः — The Birth of Gāndhārī’s Hundred Sons (and Yuyutsu); Omens and Counsel on Succession

धारयामास च प्राणानृषींश्व॒ समुपानयत्‌ । शूलाग्रे तप्यमानेन तपस्तेन महात्मना

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

dhārayāmāsa ca prāṇān ṛṣīṃś ca samupānayat |

śūlāgre tapyamānena tapasā tena mahātmanā ||

ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ທ່ານຍັງຄົງປະຄອງລົມຫາຍໃຈໄວ້ ແລະພຽງແຕ່ລະລຶກເຖິງ ກໍດຶງດູດບັນດາລິສີໃຫ້ມາຢູ່ໃກ້ໄດ້. ເນື່ອງຈາກມະຫາຕະປະສີນັ້ນກຳລັງບຳເນັດຕະປະຢ່າງຮຸນແຮງຢູ່ເທິງປາຍຫຼັກ, ບັນດາຜູ້ບຳເນັດຕະປະອື່ນໆ ທັງສະທ້ານໃຈທັງພິລຶກພິລັນ. ພວກເຂົາມາໃນຍາມຄ່ຳ ໂດຍແປງກາຍເປັນນົກ ແລະເປີດເຜີຍອານຸພາບຕາມກຳລັງຂອງຕົນ ແລ້ວຖາມພຣະພຣາຫມັນຜູ້ປະເສີດ ຄື ລິສີມານດະວະຍະ.
