This verse describes the internecine battle among the Yadus, listing how prominent members confronted one another as their hostility flared, illustrating the dynasty’s self-destruction as part of Krishna’s concluding pastime.
In the narrative context of Canto 11, Chapter 30, the Yadus become overtaken by mutual enmity and, by divine arrangement, end up battling one another—an internal conflict that culminates in their disappearance from the world’s stage.
The verse highlights how unchecked rivalry and resentment can destroy even the most powerful community; cultivating humility, restraint, and devotion helps prevent relationships from degrading into needless conflict.
