After mentioning the innumerable faults of this Age of Kali, Śukadeva Gosvāmī now mentions its one brilliant aspect. Just as one powerful king can kill innumerable thieves, one brilliant spiritual quality can destroy all the contamination of this age. It is impossible to overestimate the importance of chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare/ Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare, especially in this fallen age.
This verse states that despite Kali-yuga being full of faults, its great advantage is that by chanting the names and glories of Kṛṣṇa one becomes liberated from material entanglement and reaches the supreme goal.
Śukadeva instructs the soon-to-depart King Parīkṣit about the most effective spiritual practice for the age—Kṛṣṇa-kīrtana—highlighting a direct, accessible path to the highest destination.
Make regular chanting a daily anchor—recite or sing Kṛṣṇa’s holy names and hear His glories—so attachment to worldly association loosens and devotion steadily matures toward the supreme aim.
