FAQs

It conveys strategic-geographical knowledge via the term vana-durga—forest strongholds—highlighting terrain-based fortification and route-awareness rather than a ritual procedure.

By embedding concepts like fortified landscapes (durga) and travel routes within an Itihasa narrative, it links storytelling with practical categories such as polity, defense, and geographic description.

It underscores shared dharmic companionship—Rama’s joyful guidance of Sītā—presenting right conduct and mutual reassurance during return travel as a virtue.
