Transliteration

ityevamukte vacane vāmanena mahāsuraḥ balirbhṛṅgāramādāya dadau viṣṇoḥ kramatrayam

Translation

ವಾಮನನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಮಹಾಸುರ ಬಲಿಯು ಭೃಂಗಾರವನ್ನು (ದಾನಜಲಪಾತ್ರ) ಹಿಡಿದು ವಿಷ್ಣುವಿಗೆ ಮೂರು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳ ದಾನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದನು.
